We welcome volunteers who are completing community service hours!
Thank you for turning to Habitat for Humanity to fulfill your court-ordered community service responsibility. We are happy to help you fulfill your committed hours, and look forward to working with you. We want this volunteer experience to be rewarding. In so doing, there are certain guidelines we maintain as a way to stay organized and ensure a positive working relationship.
The following guidelines must be met:
REGISTER AS A VOLUNTEER THROUGH OUR PORTAL
Once you've registered as a volunteer and have signed up for the mandatory 1-hour orientation, you can begin volunteering at one of our ReStore locations!
All Community Service volunteers must be 16 or older in order to be able to volunteer. Offenses we do not accept: internet crimes, acts of violence, felony theft-related crimes, sex-related crimes.
VOLUNTEER IN THE RESTORE ONLY
We only accept court ordered hours to be fulfilled at one of our ReStore locations (in Sanford or Casselberry). Please note you can not do your court ordered community service hours at our construction site at this time.
TRACK YOUR HOURS RESPONSIBLY
You must sign-in and sign-out on your scheduled day at the Habitat site. You are responsible for having a ReStore employee sign off on your hours at the end of each shift. Habitat is not responsible for hours not logged.
Volunteers needing Court Ordered hours must call the ReStore Volunteer Coordinator ahead of time to schedule a phone interview before beginning volunteer work.
Please contact Emalee at email@example.com
Tasks can include: unloading trucks, loading items for customers, moving items around the store, cleaning, organizing, and more. Please wear closed toed shoes and comfortable clothing.
Volunteers must register online for their volunteer shifts in order for us to track your hours and must sign in and out of the store volunteer log each time they volunteer. If you have any physical limitations, please notify ReStore Staff.
Community Service Hours Request
To request your hours, please email the ReStore Volunteer Liaison directly or fill the form below out. Please note that depending on the county you are serving through, you may not be eligible to receive a direct letter.
