Your time builds homes

When you offer your time at Habitat for Humanity ReStore, you’re also offering hard-working local families the opportunity to build and purchase their own homes.

Why Volunteer at Habitat for Humanity ReStore?

Volunteering at Habitat for Humanity ReStore is one easy way you can get started with the process of helping local families realize their dream of homeownership. ReStore is an integral part of Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka’s building and restoration processes. As you give your time and effort to ReStore, more and more resources are available to put toward preparing the homes of Habitat partner families. That’s a big reason we rely on volunteers to power ReStore, but there are many reasons to serve in this way:

Help Habitat for Humanity.
By doing jobs that paid staff normally do, the ReStore can devote more resources toward build homes with Habitat.

There’s Something for Everyone

There are many opportunities to serve at Habitat for Humanity ReStore, and we would love to partner with you in an effort to eliminate sub-standard housing in our Seminole County and Greater Apopka communities. Take a look at some of the volunteer options that are available:

Groups
ReStore can accommodate groups of up to 10 people. Volunteer dates must be scheduled in advance. This is a great team-building activity for people in your work place, place of worship, and civic group. It’s a great way to give back to the community-  contact us to schedule your group build day!

Assist customers by helping them find items in the store, measure items if necessary, and carry items to their vehicles.

Mr./Mrs. Fix-It (Item Repair)
We’re always looking for people to repair or touch-up furniture, electronics and other items that are slightly damaged.

Front Desk Assistants
Help bag items, assist customers with checkout, and help with paperwork

Upcycler
Creative people who can reupholster, restore, and/or remake items into something else.
