Habitat Casselberry ReStore Announcement

Habitat’s mission of providing affordable housing in our community is why we exist here in Seminole County and Greater Apopka.  Our goal is to serve and impact as many families and individuals as possible and provide the maximum benefit in services. Our lease at the Casselberry ReStore expires shortly and we have decided not to renew the lease. We believe our clients are best served by focusing our resources and investments into expanding our thrift store location in Sanford only and continue to grow our work in affordable housing.

Our affiliate remains strong and continues to alleviate the lack of affordable housing in the Seminole County and Greater Apopka area and we will complete more than ten homes this year alone. We have been in this community for 28 years and housed almost 200 families. We have served the Casselberry shopping community for eight years and although closing the store is a difficult decision, we believe it is necessary to bolster the success of the mission and those who benefit from it most.

Our last day at our Casselberry location will be Saturday, November 23, 2019.  We will continue to focus on our flagship store in Sanford, which will remain open to shoppers, donors and volunteers. We are grateful for the support of our shoppers, donors and volunteers who have shown us for the past nine years at our Casselberry location.
