Sanford ReStore Closing
Habitat Seminole-Apopka has had the honor of serving the community with our thrift stores for nearly 20 years and has made the difficult decision to close our Sanford ReStore. Our retail business, which consists of the physical store and the online store, permanently closed on June 12th allowing our affiliate to concentrate on our main mission to provide affordable housing to our community here in Seminole County and the Greater Apopka area.
The decision to close the ReStore was not entered into without a tremendous amount of consideration of options. The Board of Directors and Staff believe we will serve the community in a more sustainable and efficient way by making this decision. It has been our pleasure to have a store in the Sanford Community. Our appreciation of donors, shoppers, and volunteers over these nearly 20 years cannot be understated. Thank you for your part in building new opportunities for those seeking to help themselves.
Without our retail operations we are no longer accepting donations of items to be resold in a thrift store.
Thank you to each of you who have donated in support of the Sanford ReStore in the past.
