A Sanford native and proud mother of four grown children, Chanta has dedicated her life to supporting others, both personally and professionally. She currently works in the healthcare field, helping people navigate important services and support systems.
Like many in Central Florida, Chanta has experienced the challenges of finding stable and affordable housing in recent years. Through it all, she stayed focused on building a better future for herself and her family.
She first heard about Habitat for Humanity through a friend and decided to take a leap of faith by applying to our homeownership program. When asked how she felt upon being accepted, Chanta shared, “I am elated!”
Now, Chanta is looking forward to the stability, security, and peace of mind that comes with owning her own home—a place where she can finally plant roots and thrive.
