Lacie Brisbon

Visualizing a new life of possibilities for my family

Accepted into Program: May 21, 2024

Job: Benefits Coordinator

Neighborhood: Women Build 2025 Property

Lacie Brisbon is a strong and determined single mother of a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter. Lacie currently works at a women’s health facility as a benefits coordinator and has recently made the brave decision to leave a relationship for the betterment of herself and her daughter. Lacie is now living with her parents and siblings in a rented home and hopes to create a safe living environment for her and her daughter.

Life for Lacie is a bit cramped right now. On top of having to share her bedroom with her toddler daughter and her toys, Lacie works from home and has to make do with a small workspace. It’s no surprise that she often feels overwhelmed by the lack of space and struggles to be as productive as she knows she can be.

Lacie’s ultimate dream is to own her own home where she can provide a safe and stable environment for her daughter. Having more space would not only alleviate the current challenges she faces but also give her the opportunity to thrive and create a better future for her little one. With the help of Habitat for Humanity, Lacie has been able to make progress towards her goal and can visualize a different life for herself and her daughter in the near future.
