our impact in FY2026

Designing the Blueprint for the Future

A safe, affordable home is the foundation for stable families, brighter futures, and stronger communities. Together, we’re building a Blueprint for the Future by expanding affordable homeownership opportunities across Central Florida.

by the numbers: The Human Impact

Our growth as an organization is driven by a simple equation: stable homes create stable lives, which build a  stronger Central Florida.

Here is how our blueprint came to life over the past year through the hard work of our families and partners:

22

new homes are under development enabling stable lives for those who will purchase their forever home. Opening the door to permanent stability, quiet nights, and true self-reliance.

100%

of our homebuyers were first-time homeowners. Securing long-term equity, safety, and a financial foundation for their children.

600

families benefited from our programs, including Pathways to Homeownership, Financial Academy, Sustainable Living Series, and HUD-Certified Guidance and Classes. Together, these programs create a comprehensive ecosystem of education and empowerment.

100%

of our future homebuyers increased their credit scores. Unlocking better financial opportunities and re-writing their financial futures.

6,891

hours of time was given by our Habitat volunteers, saving $240,358 in labor costs and creating positive impact in the communities we serve.

50

We are a Top 50 Habitat home producer out of nearly 1,000 Habitats nationwide which enables us to serve more families and expands our role to both, builder and developer.

Expanding Our Footprint: The Legacy Square Milestone

Legacy Square, our 19-home community, marks a pivotal step in Habitat Seminole-Apopka’s evolution into large-scale community development, creating lasting solutions to the affordable housing crisis. With Phase Two of development underway, we’re expanding our impact and bringing the promise of homeownership to more Central Florida families than ever before.

The Ripple Effect: Strengthening Central Florida’s Economy

Single-family home construction is a powerful driver of Florida’s economy, creating jobs, generating local revenue, and supporting related industries.

New homes boost business activity, tax revenue, and wages that circulate throughout the community. Investments in affordable housing strengthen local economies by reducing employer turnover and helping essential workers such as teachers, healthcare professionals, and first responders live where they work.

My rent was more than half my income, and I could barely afford bills or groceries. I’ll never forget the fear of becoming homeless while still showing up to work like everything was okay. Because of Habitat, I was finally able to keep my family safe and achieve the dream of homeownership.”
