Idalia Nunez serves as the Director of Programs for Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka. As a purpose-driven leader with a distinguished career spanning the nonprofit and education sectors, she brings extensive expertise in strategic planning, program development, and community engagement. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Idalia uses her voice to bridge cultural divides and ensure that every individual feels seen, heard, and valued.
Idalia has designed and led transformative programs that empower individuals to build stable, fulfilling lives. At Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka, she spearheaded the Habitat Financial Academy, equipping families with financial literacy and the tools needed to achieve homeownership. She also launched a culinary training initiative with a remarkable 90% retention rate and 100% job placement—creating life-changing opportunities for participants.
Idalia holds an MBA from the University of Central Florida, a BS in Management (Magna Cum Laude) from Belhaven College, and a Certificate in Leadership Practice from Rollins College. Her leadership extends beyond the workplace through active volunteer roles, including Vice President of Membership and Treasurer for Toastmasters International, membership in the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and J4 Leaders, and service as a Women’s Ministry Leader at Calvary Orlando.
