Joshua Suarez

Project Superintendent

As Project Superintendent, Joshua Suarez is responsible for the maintenance of projects in the field. Josh oversees the execution of the construction schedules for Habitat build sites, ensuring safety standards are met and proper inspections are completed in a timely manner. Josh also helps to support volunteer build days by teaching groups the proper usage of tools and materials on the job site and leading them in tasks such as placing siding or laying sod.

Josh has over seven years of experience in electric and construction, working in the powerline industry for the first half of his career, then transitioning into the construction of homes. During his time in the powerline industry, he subcontracted with large companies like Duke Energy. He also worked as a project manager on new construction sites for commercial businesses. Before working on job sites, Josh served active duty in the Navy for five years where he worked as a hydraulic mechanic and a shipboard fire fighter.

Josh has a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master’s degree in project management. He is a resourceful leader and detail-oriented teacher for both new and existing volunteer groups, communicating and aligning well with Habitat’s mission towards affordable housing solutions.
