After volunteering in Habitat’s office for nine months, Laura joined the organization’s staff as Volunteer Coordinator. In this role, she oversees the volunteer program she was once a Laura brings over 20 years of professional experience, having worked as a paralegal and an Executive Assistant to the Quality Control Manager of the Dulles Metro Rail Project in Washington D.C., where she discovered her passion for construction. After beginning her volunteer journey with Habitat in September 2025, Laura found a strong connection to construction, non-profit work, and community service. This inspired her to join Habitat’s team and continue making a difference for families throughout Central Florida.
part of and helps ensure the success of Habitat’s volunteer-built homes. Laura works closely with the Construction Department to determine when volunteers need to be scheduled, and she is regularly present on the job sites to set up volunteer events and welcome participants.
