As Construction Project Manager, Pete is responsible for overseeing the vertical construction of Habitat’s properties. Pete works with CCO Ed Shrank and the rest of the construction team to ensure Habitat’s home building and rehabilitation projects are executed smoothly and successfully. In addition to managing teams of professional contractors and subcontractors, Pete also helps to support build days with Habitat volunteers. Pete’s role combines professional construction management with Habitat’s mission-driven development, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Having begun his career in real estate development and later working on the construction of homes and hotels, Pete brings more than 20 years of experience in project and operations management to the Habitat team. Not only has Pete worked on the development of new homes and the renovation of already existing ones, but he has also worked on several major projects, such as the renovations of the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Studios and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort in Orlando. Collaborating with these larger companies has pushed Pete to become a very detail-oriented management professional who coordinates efficiently with his team and is well versed in budgeting and arranging resources.
