In her role as an AmeriCorps VISTA Member, Zona Litten aims to promote affordable housing in her local community through her position in Homeowner Services Development. Zona’s responsibilities include researching and improving existing recruitment methods and the tracking systems that help Habitat serve Central Florida. She also helps develop the affiliate’s homeowner education curriculum and application process, building homebuyer’s confidence and security. A data-driven professional, Zona supports Habitat’s mission of growing generational wealth and advancing affordable housing solutions through research and development.
Zona is on track to graduate from the University of Central Florida with her bachelor’s in Integrated Business in December 2026. Through her studies, she has strengthened her ability to connect with others and grow the interpersonal skills needed to give every potential new homebuyer a welcoming experience. Having worked on a variety of volunteer projects, Zona has experienced first-hand the value of teamwork and community support. She hopes to use her service and sales experience to improve every facet of the homebuying experience and sustain homebuyer recruitment.
